April Newsletter

Hello Pawtify Support Team!

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." ― Mahatma Gandhi

Emma and I wanted to say hello and brief everyone on how April has been going, since we haven't seen most of you since the Incubator Launch Party. Well without a doubt, Emma and I are taking on new challenges in our development of Pawtify due to 'social distancing', but we're resilient and we're taking this Covid opportunity to manifest new ways to communicate with each other. Zoom has become our best friend and Pawtify collaboration is advancing through regular check-ins via video chat. We are counting our blessings with this savvy technology and our adaptation to further Pawtify.

This past Saturday was a real treat as the Incubator Program organized an online workshop with Lisa Hurst from Improv to Grow. She took us through multiple interactive situations to coach our communication skills as we establish our business skills. This training opportunity was not just enjoyable and creative, but taught us applicable was to improve our teamwork capabilities through practical mindfulness and innovative collaboration, as we as how to apply our knowledge to a stage or speech setting. This was an amazing experience and we would like to thank Geekdom so much for this session, it was truly a gift.

Currently, Emma and I have entered the development stage of the Pawtify application. We've finalized our technology stack as well as designed and implemented the infrastructure. We are also working on user stories, wireframing, our budget, using Growthwheel for business development, our pitch deck, branding principles, marketing, etc. Yes, the list goes on! We are having an amazing time learning all that we can to move Pawtify forward and we can't wait to see how the year unfolds.

I know we have been in touch with several of our mentors for suggestions or ideas. If we have not personally reached out to you, but you would like to collaborate on any of these tasks, please don't hesitate to contact us. Emma and I are trying to figure out so many things right now that we are probably forgetting how to say help!!

To all our mentors and support team, we would like to thank you for sticking by our sides and offering us your wisdom. We are doing our best to figure out this new world we all live in as it adds a new layer to what we're working on already. We will pick your brains more as we get our flow in full motion.
Sincerly,
Laura from Pawtify Team
